This week, Common Ground adds another benefit for employees alongside our competitive benefits package — educational assistance and tuition reimbursement.

With education being a core part of the continuous development of clinical, counseling and administrative staff, this benefit is expected to provide the resources and support needed for employees to grow to better serve our clients.

With funds being contributed directly to the employee, the tuition reimbursement benefit will be provided as a tax-free contribution to employees which can then be applied to tuition, continuing education units, supervision fees, licensing fees, board exam fees, lab fees, and required books and course materials.

According to Mattea Schmitz, Common Ground’s CEO, “At Common Ground, we value the development of our employees and pride ourselves on our commitment to helping our staff be the best counselors they can be for our clients. This benefit is simply another way to prove our commitment to our greatest asset —our people.”

Along with providing both residential and outpatient services to clients in Southeast Minnesota, Common Ground regularly provides in-house CEU training events. At Common Ground, employees are encouraged and supported in working to reach their full potential by increasing their skills and knowledge.

All full-time employees at Common Ground are eligible to participate, and most educational assistance will be given to courses and certifications recognized by nationally-accredited educational institutions.

“The culture at Common Ground has always been supportive,” Schmitz says. “It’s one of our core values and the reasons we recognize our team is more like a family here. We look forward to offering this benefit to our team members and seeing the ways they continue to grow, develop and bring new skills and talents to our team.”

Other benefits at Common Ground include health, vision and dental insurance, flexible work schedule, paid maternity leave, paid-time-off and 401k with employer contributions.

Common Ground provides addiction treatment, recovery housing and chemical health assessments in Rochester, Winona and Red Wing, Minnesota. To learn more about working at Common Ground, please read more about employment and view open positions.
